A 90-plus location pizza franchise was paying a traditional media company to run paid social. Things moved slowly, and nobody could say exactly where the money went. Here is what changed when the spend became visible.

“What's unique about them is the level of energy and dedication their team has as a whole in managing our projects.”Ren Vang, Marketing Director @ Pizza Guys Franchises, Inc.
Pizza Guys was founded in 1986 in Sacramento, California. It has grown into a pizza restaurant franchise with more than 90 locations across California and Nevada, and since 2025, Texas.
Pizza Guys were frustrated by stagnant paid social performance. Results had plateaued, changes came slowly, and errors were frequent under their previous vendor, a traditional media company managing digital as a side offering.
The deeper problem was visibility. With budgets spread across 90-plus stores, nobody could see where the money was going at the store level, which made every result impossible to judge and every error expensive to catch. They needed a genuine partner who could collaborate with their skilled in-house team, not another black box.
We began by prioritizing direct collaboration: regular, in-person meetings to build open communication, cultural alignment, and trust between both teams. That is how we learned the operational nuances and distinct goals of individual store locations.
From those insights, we led a comprehensive account restructure with clear budget tracking and transparent reporting for every stakeholder. Structured workflows and store-aligned strategy cut error rates and sped up the pace of campaign optimization.
The result of the process, before the results of the campaigns: every marketing dollar accounted for, and decisions made with the corporate team and franchisees looking at the same numbers.
Within a few months, engagement rose substantially across all paid social platforms, and many stores saw an uptick in redemptions of paid social promo codes, the kind of result a franchisee can see at the register, not just in a dashboard.
Campaigns customized to individual store locations unlocked growth opportunities the one-size-fits-all approach had been leaving on the table, and every franchise could now track its own performance at a granular level.
We built personalized monthly reports for each franchise holder, evolving them in real time from franchisee feedback. Those reports became a cornerstone of decision-making across the system.
